Style Inspiration: The Great Gatsby

[via]

Gatsby Fever is everywhere! From the window displays and sneak peeks of the jaw-droppingly gorgeous costumes in the movie, to the star-studded soundtrack and hints of Gatsby-esque style showing up everywhere... I, personally, can't get enough! ...

Baz Luhrmann's "Great Gatsby" delivers some serious eye candy (in addition to Leo, of course). In line with the era's decadence and glitzy hedonistic romps, the movie will be bursting with color and eye-catching visuals. But most of all, we're excited for the elaborate costumes, hair, and makeup.

Style Inspiration: Coco Chanel

Famous French designer, Coco Chanel, is still considered to be one of the most important influences of Fashion Design. Known for her Modern and Practical designs, she is credited for the concept of the Little Black Dress (LBD) during the 1920′s. This is why many people still 'Chan(n)el' their inner Coco! ♥ ...

A Bit About Coco:

Fashion designer Coco Chanel, born August 19, 1883, in Saumur, France, was raised in orphanages and this is where she learnt to sew. Having a brief career as a singer before opening her first clothes shop in 1910, she went on to launch her first perfume and introduce the Chanel suit and the Little Black Dress in the 1920s.

Some of her Most Famous Quotes:

From her Tweed Suits to her Hats, Furs, Stripes, and Pearls, Coco had her style defined to the 'T'. Mixing menswear and womenswear into androgynous-inspired heaven, the Chanel look is one that is always in fashion — Simply Timeless.

Style Inspiration: Brigitte Bardot

It's easy to see why Brigitte Bardot is still considered a Style Icon ...

Her Seductively Tousled Blonde Curls framing a Playful Grin and Big Hazel Eyes lined with dark liner. With Bombshell Curves and Legs (as long as the Eiffel Tower); No wonder Bardot's Epitome of Femininity continues to Inspire to this day.

One of my Favourite Bardot Outfits ... now where to find polka dot pants?
