Water Babies for Mulberry

For their Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, Mulberry once again chose renowned British photographer Tim Walker for a series of dreamy images, featuring model Meghan Collison ...

“This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape, rather than a character within it,” said Walker. “Thus the pictures of Meghan Collison become more like portraits. She was…able to hold your gaze, but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape.” (via WWD)

Set designer Shona Heath crafted a pastel landcape featuring Magical underwater and Mysterious lunar imagery; including gigantic pastel-coloured coral, soft-hued moon rocks and bubbles.

Mulberry Creative director Emma Hill said of Meghan: “I love her beauty – classic but with a sexy impishness which is super-Mulberry! She has so much character and brings an edginess to the prettiness of the colours and perfectly works the cuts and shapes of the featured styles.” (via Mulberry Blog)

Styled by Jane How, Meghan shows off the classic styles of the season including The Cecily, Cecily Flower Tote and Bayswater bags.

Meghan's hair and Make-up were done by Sam McKnight and Val Garland respectively.

Totally Love this campaign! It just makes me want to be a 'Mulberry Mermaid'! ♥

PANTONE Pretty for 2013: Emerald

Farewell Tangerine Tango! Pantone, the authority on colour, has selected Emerald as the official colour for 2013. It has been described as 'Lively, Radiant, and Lush ... a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.' ...

"Green is the most abundant hue in nature — the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum," Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a statement. "It's also the color of growth, renewal, and prosperity — no other color conveys regeneration more than green. For centuries, many countries have chosen green to represent healing and unity."

Reaching its fever pitch as Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2013, the jewel tone is being spotted everywhere for Spring 2013, most notably at Michael Kors, Jason Wu, Kenzo, Prada, Stella McCartney and Christian Dior.

Equally harmonious on the cosmetic color wheel, Emerald dramatizes all eye colors as it beautifully enhances green eyes, is compatible to blue eyes, emphasizes the green undertone in hazel eyes and intensifies brown eyes to make them appear deeper. Emerald is also a perfect complement to peaches, pinks, roses, ruby reds and aubergines — offering a variety of lipstick and blush options.

For those who want to sparkle and stand out, Emerald is the perfect punctuation point in nail color because of its complementary nature.

Home:
Enhance your sense of well-being at home by rejuvenating the interior with Emerald paint, accents and accessories. This jewel-like hue will create a luxurious feel in an entryway, powder room, dining room or study, and bring life to a living room as an accent wall. Add a splash of colour to the kitchen and dining room areas with Emerald dinnerware, stemware and appliances.

Or for something a bit more subtle, enliven your home with Pantone bedding, pillows, bath towels and accessories in Emerald.

So what are you waiting for? 2013 is the year to make everyone else 'Green with Envy' ... or should I say Emerald ;)
