Butterfly Twists
Wow! I am so Glad that Buttefly Twists is coming to South Africa!!!
From Sugababe's Amelle Berrabah to Sophie Ellis Bextor, Playboy bunny Hope Dworaczyk and Hollywood luminary Jane Seymour; Butterfly Twist Girls stand out from the crowd by wearing the coolest British footwear.
From 1 July 2012 the South African Fashionista's can give their feet a break with these stylish yet comfortable shoes — as the first Pop-Up Shop arrives at Morningside Shopping Centre ...
A Bit About the Brand:
Launched in London in 2009 by 4 close friends, Butterfly Twists has quickly redefined Style, Comfort and Fashion. The hallmark of the British Brand is the fact that each design boasts an Innovative 'Twist' allowing the footwear to be folded and thus easily transported in your handbag or carry-all. (How Amazing!! I definitely need a pair for travelling and shopping sprees)
Kicking off its debut with a range of ballerina flats which were Foldable, Flexible and Fabulous; Butterfly Twists now come in a range of permutations from the sultry Eve to the ladylike Olivia and the racy Elizabeth line. And in a nod to the new festival crowd of Kate Moss and her ilk who have added style to the mosh pits of Glastonbury, the new Butterfly Twists slouchy boots made from soft, plush-micro suede are not only easily foldable but set to become a trans-seasonal wardrobe staple moving from winter to spring and back again.
I don't know about you, but I think this is a Brilliant Idea! If you are keen to get your hands on a pair of these Ingenious Shoes make sure you visit the pop-up Store in Morningside Shopping Centre next month!!

Lana Del Rey is 'Nailing It'
Fashion's Newest Muse, Lana Del Rey, is in the July issue of VOGUE Japan, which officially takes her covetable style to the next level...
Captured by Sean & Seng, the ultra-glam feature showcases Del Rey lounging about and flaunting her signature pointy nails, nude lips and swoopy cat-eye liner — dripping in statement jewellery.
Stylist Johnny Blueeyes selected ultra-feminine dresses and tops to go with Lana’s glittering jewellery.

Makeup artist Pamela Cochrane perfects the songstress’ looks with a smokey eye and siren waves were created by hair stylist Anna Cofone.
I think she looks Gorgeous! Let me know what you think of her new photoshoot in the comments.

Delicacy
Sara Blomqvist and Ophelie Rupp make a magnificent sensual duo in this romantic, ethereal story for Interview's June/July editorial styled by Ludivine Poiblanc. The models collaborated with one of my favourite Photographers: Patrick Demarchelier...
Embrace the season with a graceful femininity and a lightness of being. Longer lengths, sheer layers in gentle skin tones, and a demure ease are all part of a softly spoken fashion vocabulary of sensual romanticism and ethereal beauty. Welcome to the new age of innocence.
As one would expect, another Lovely and Sensual editorial, lensed by Patrick Demarchelier.

Americana's Silent Fall
Long Island’s Americana Manhasset took inspiration from one of my Favourite Movies, 'The Artist', for its Autumn catalogue titled “Speechless” — a homage to black-and-white silent movies ...
And here is the Video:
Americana Manhasset chose the catalogue’s theme based on the fall collections, many of which “harkened to the past in some way, especially the Twenties and Thirties, but with a modern twist,” said Andrea Sanders, senior vice president and creative director. The catalogue was shot at Paramount Studios and several private homes in Los Angeles.
All I can say is that I wouldn't mind seeing more of these Roaring 20s-Inspired Catalogues and Editorials! ... with that said I'm also looking forward to the Great Gatsby Movie!

Alma
Last night while browsing through YouTube, I came across Alma, a 2009 Spanish Short Animation. This beautifully rendered film by ex-Pixar animator, Rodrigo Blaas, is a cautionary Tale about inquisitive children and eerie-looking dolls.
If you haven’t yet seen this Charming Short, I strongly recommend you do...

The 5 flawless minutes worth of film has no spoken dialogue, just lighthearted music playing throughout the background — the atmosphere is perfect. I Loved the character designs and the wonderfully dark twist. The word "alma" in Spanish means "soul".
It was received notable recognition at the Fantastic Fest Awards as well as the below Awards:
