Maurizio Galimberti: The Mosaic Maker

Johnny Depp

Celebrities have been photographed pretty much every which way: paparazzi-style, covering magazines, private mobile phone snaps. So it’s nice when someone captures them in a way that actually makes you look twice.

This is what Italian-born Maurizio Galimberti, born in 1956 and full-time photographer since early 1990, does with his grid-like representation of faces, using the good old Polaroid.

Lady Gaga

The series is called “Celebrity Works” and features a few of my favorites: Johnny Depp, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sting, Benicio Del Toro, and Lady Gaga, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, and Javier Bardem.

Having collaborated with Polaroid Italia his first year into the business, and becoming their official spokesperson a few years later, the man often referred to as “The Mosaic Maker” has had his work featured on the cover of The Times (England), campaigns of top brands like Jaeger Lecoultre, Nokia, and Illy caffè, and was the official portraitist of the Venice Film Festival.

Lady Gaga's Unveils her First Official Fragrance

Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning artist Lady Gaga announced today the worldwide release of her first fragrance, LADY GAGA FAME, in September 2012 ...

Gaga claims to have made the first ever Black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne, according to a press release today. The fragrance claims to implement a new patent pending fluid technology.

Gaga collaborated with fashion industry legends in the creation of LADY GAGA FAME: the bottle was designed in collaboration with Nick Knight, and the ad campaign was directed and photographed by Steven Klein.

Gaga will shill her new fragrance with an appropriately timed September Vogue cover – the mag’s biggest selling issue of the year. Louis Vuitton photographers Mert and Markus are said to have already shot the singer’s cover, which will mark the second time in two years that Gaga has graced the magazine with her presence.

This is one perfume I cannot wait to add to my collection in September ... just in time for my Birthday!! ♥
