Until now, one of the most popular ways of enjoying vodka was with an energy drink mixer. But, Russian Bear Energy Fusion is changing the space forever by giving clubbers and party-goers the opportunity to energise their favourite mixer, like sparkling apple juice, cranberry juice or lemonade. 

“There is no longer a trade-off between drinking your favourite mixer or getting the energy to keep the party going,” says Schalk van Wyk, the Edward Snell & Co. Marketing Manager. “Russian Bear Energy Fusion is the future and we’re looking forward to growing the opportunity.” 

While Caffeine is the main ingredient, Guarana and Taurine intensify the energy experience. Guarana is a plant from South America that contains a Caffeine compound, and Taurine is one of the most common amino acids that helps improve mental vitality and physical energy. At 100mg per litre, the Caffeine levels in Russian Bear Energy Fusion are fairly moderate. However, consumers are reminded to enjoy responsibly. 

Van Wyk adds that Russian Bear Energy Fusion can be mixed with other energy drinks, but it’s flavour profile is specifically chosen to complement traditional mixers, such as sparkling apple juice, cranberry juice and lemonade. 

Clear glass bottle packaging and a brand colour palette of blue, silver and white reaffirm the energy messaging. 

A 750ml bottle of Russian Bear Energy Fusion costs approximately R95 from liquor stores nationwide. In addition to the standard variety of Russian Bear, there are a number of unique flavours, such as spiced vanilla with a hint of coffee, crushed lime and mint, and wild berry and Guarana. 

To complement the launch of Russian Bear Energy Fusion, an exciting new brand campaign will be released on Monday, 1 April 2013.

Jersey Boys Opens at the Teatro on 3 April!

I am really looking forward to Jersey Boys and I cannot wait until 3 April 2013 when this multi-award winning worldwide smash hit musical makes its South African premiere at the Teatro at Montecasino!! ...

Currently on stage in major cities across the globe and enjoyed by over 16 million people worldwide, Jersey Boys is the newest Broadway musical to be staged in this country.

Nine West stores in South Africa are joining in on the make-over with the introduction of The Pump Wall in the Sandton, Gateway and V&A Waterfront stores beginning February 2013 (So Exciting!). The local version of the store feature will see all Nine West pumps grouped together and beautifully displayed. The "Uptown" trend, from the “Nine & The Gang” advertising campaign, will launch in-store in February 2013 with "Boho Chic", introducing the winter season's collection of boots and booties, launching at the end of March/beginning of April 2013. Local Nine West stores will gradually integrate elements of the new store format to align with the brand’s international strategy.

Maurizio Galimberti: The Mosaic Maker

Celebrities have been photographed pretty much every which way: paparazzi-style, covering magazines, private mobile phone snaps. So it’s nice when someone captures them in a way that actually makes you look twice.

This is what Italian-born Maurizio Galimberti,born in 1956 and full-time photographer since early 1990, does with his grid-like representation of faces, using the good old Polaroid.

The series is called “Celebrity Works” and features a few of my favorites: Johnny Depp, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sting, Benicio Del Toro, and Lady Gaga, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, and Javier Bardem.

Having collaborated with Polaroid Italia his first year into the business, and becoming their official spokesperson a few years later, the man often referred to as “The Mosaic Maker” has had his work featured on the cover of The Times (England), campaigns of top brands like Jaeger Lecoultre, Nokia, and Illy caffè, and was the official portraitist of the Venice Film Festival.
